SINGAPORE TO DEVELOP DELHI INTO A SMART CITY

Many Indian cities comprising Delhi may be hopeful to be “smart” but that’s easier said than done. Singapore which is now working towards putting itself as the first “smart nation” has done it through scrupulous urban planning to use land, water and power most efficiently. Zulkifli, Its Zulkifli, minister in home and foreign affairs who met Indian journalists on Friday as part of media visit organized by Singapore International Foundation (SIF) said Indian cities first need rudimentary planning to make lives relaxed for people.

Zulkifli said Singapore government is open to developing Delhi as a smart city but it be contingent on the Indian government who they finally choose. “Singapore can help the new government led by PMNarendraModi short circuit the procedure of becoming smart. Discussions have started and we have some proposals on the table. They have to choose who they will work with. There are concerns with land attainments and a good legal apparatus needs to be put in place first. If you displace people, it may turn into a social problem. We are open to building Delhi. Zulfikli also elucidated that industries need to be clean, processes in place so they don’t pollute or such a project may fail or cause more distress to residents.

Some of the smart cities that Singapore has helped grow are Suzhou, Tianjin and Nanjing in China. At the core of Singapore’s urban planning is competence as the tiny island is just about 718 sqkms does not have land to make room for housing, transport, industry and open spaces. Zulkifli however felt Delhi is improving. “When I visited 20 years ago I couldn’t even stand outside now I can even eat on Delhi’s roads. I think your preceding chief minister has done a good job.” Speaking about Singapore’s political relations, he said “We follow the rule of law here and we want countries to also follow that. That is why Singapore is one of the best arbitration centers. We want India to prosper and ensure China follows the rule of law. If India, China and US are robust there is better balance.

However, after a lot of brainstorming, we have decided to release a much awaited script update on our own website. Our VTU Results script has now been updated to improve the user experience as well as to help the VTU students to get the result in the fastest manner. Our internal algorithm now gets the result from the multiple resources and save on our own server in a most efficient manner. The process is so smooth that users will not be even feel the speed difference. Our algorithm first fetches the result from our own server and if the result is not stored on our server, then it will fetch the result from VTU’s own server.

Both the regular and revaluation results have been integrated in the single script so you do not have to check them from different resources. We also host all the result on our own server which makes it extremely easy for the people to get the result in the quickest manner.

However, we have put a timeout option so the users can stop the process and reload it once the VTU server is back online.

COMEDK UGET 2014 Results Announced

Consortium of medical engineering and dental colleges of Karnataka has announced its COMEDK UGET 2014 results in two phases. In first phase test scores for COMEDL UGET 2014 were declared on 30^th May, 2014 and in 2^nd phase final rank list was published on 4^th June, 2014. You can visit the official website to check the final rank list. 47,085 candidates for medical and dental stream and 43,179 candidates for the engineering courses have appeared for the COMEDK UGET entrance test.

Results for COMEDK UGET 2014

The COMEDK UGET 2014 entrance test was held on 11^th May, 2014, for the candidates seeking admission in medical and engineering colleges. Candidates who have appeared for the exam would have already checked the provisional answer key, which was then released late in the evening on 11^th May. Final answer keys for the same were released on the official website on 24^th May, 2014. So students would have got fair idea about their performance in the test and would have also assumed their COMEDK UGET 2014 results. VTU Exam 2014 Of 20-6-2014 is Rescheduled

As per the notification updated on 30th on the official VTU website, the exam on 20/06/2014 has been postponed to the later date. Belgaum, examinations to be held on 20-6-2014 are now rescheduled to be held on 21-6-2014, due to elections for teachers and graduate’s constitutes in Karnataka. Exams are rescheduled for different BE, B.Arch, MBA, MCA scheme. There is no change in the exam timings; the only change is in the date. The examinations supposed to be held on Friday 20th can also find the update on the official VTU site.

Unfortunately, the timetable PDF files were too large for many people to download and we got tons of requests to provide the semester wise timetable instead of single timetable which often can confuse most of the people. B.E. 2002 Scheme Exam Reschedule- June-July 2014 Exam

VTU reschedules the dates for B.E. 2002 scheme examinations

On April 23^rd the registrar of the Vivesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum announced rescheduling of the B.E. 2002 scheme exams due to overlapping of the subjects. Previously, they announced VTU June/ July 2014 Exam Time Table, which was presented here. The exams were scheduled for in the month of June and Jule and as per the update the exams are rescheduled in the month of June. This might sound relief for the students, as they have got some extra time for preparation for their examinations.

The subject codes /titles that affects the rescheduling are **51, **52, **53, and **54. So all the BE 2002 Scheme students please visit the official site for more information. You can check the revised timetable information on the official site.

The information of the rescheduled exams is as follows:

All the subjects under the branches of **51 for BE 2002, earlier the date and time for the exam was Tuesday, 27/5/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm now the exam will be held on Wednesday, 11/06/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

All the subjects under the branches of **52 for BE 2002, earlier the date and time for the exam was Thursday, 29/5/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm now the exam will be held on Thursday, 12/06/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

All the subjects under the branches of **53 for BE 2002, earlier the date and time for the exam was Saturday, 31/5/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm now the exam will be held on Friday, 13/06/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

All the subjects under the branches of **54 for BE 2002, earlier the date and time for the exam was Tuesday, 03/6/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm now the exam will be held on Saturday, 14/06/2014 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Students appearing for the subjects under the branches **51, **52, **53, and **54, in BE 2002 scheme make sure you have the updated dates so that you do not face any problem, the dates for the other subjects remain unchanged, so don’t get confused that all the exams are postponed, the reaming exams will be taken on the dates they are already scheduled. So make best use of the extra time you have for preparation and All the best for your exams.

Time flies so fast. Officials at Belgaum, Karnataka have decided to release the time table for this year’s examination. In case, if you are studying in the colleges affiliated with VTU, then it is a high time to get the 2014 examination time table. In a previous post, we provided the official time table for 2014 exam for B.E/ B.Tech students but due to the popular demand, we have decided to provide time table for all the streams. As one of the biggest university of India, VTU expects lakhs of students to appear for this year exams. Perhaps, this is why they plan everything well in advance.
